Vacuum Probes
| Vacuum
probes (also called vacuum valves, pucks, sniffers, etc.) are
an efficient means of providing a threaded connection through
different bagging materials and tooling. Torr manufacturers
all of the probes shown here to meet the variety of our customers'
requirements. In addition to complete assemblies, Torr also
sells the individual components that make up the assemblies
(tops, gaskets, bases, etc.). Please refer to our Price

Standard 1/4" Probe
Made for
nylon and other thin film bags, this is our most popular vacuum
probe. Construction is machined aluminum and installs with
a simple 1/4-turn. Probe has 1/4" male npt top with wrench
flats and a round base with non-pinch design. Includes top,

Standard Probe with Rectangle Base
1/4-turn
aluminum vacuum probe with rectangular base that can fit into
spaces too large for a standard round base, and you can install
the base after sealing the bag. Cut a slot just wide enough
for the base to slip into, insert the base and rotate it so
the slit is aligned with the length of the base, then install
the top as normal. Includes 1/4" male npt top with wrench
flats, .125" silicone gasket, and rectangular base with
non-pinch design.

Filtered Vacuum Probe
1/4-turn
machined aluminum vacuum probe with filtered base. Filter will
block a limited amount of resin and still maintain flow. We
recommend applying a release coating to the probe base if resin

base with silicone o-ring, and resin filter.

Stainless Cinch Probe w/Integral 1/4" Snap-Tite Adapter
Threads
Separate
the top portion of a 1/4" Snap-Tite quick-disconnect
from the pipe thread adapter and, using the existing O-ring,
screw it directly to the probe top adapter threads. The results
are a low profile port with integral quick-disconnect and
no pipe thread vacuum connection. Probe has our cam-action,
high-pressure Cinch system. Includes stainless steel top with
wrench flats and Snap-Tite adapter threads, .125" silicone
gasket, and stainless steel base with non-pinch design.

4-Piece Hard-Anodized Aluminum 1/4" Probe
This
probe is sometimes referred to as a "3-piece" although
there are actually 4 pieces including the gasket. Our version
accommodates quick-disconnects with a maximum hex size of
7/8" (such as Snap-Tite E series). Machined aluminum
components are hard-anodized for long life. Washer has high-pressure
bump for concentrated sealing force. Includes body with 1/4"
male npt threads, washer (pressure plate), knurled nut, and
.125" silicone gasket.
